I have been using the Quick Folder Toolbar for some time now, but since the
last update of Thunderbird, the toolbar disappears when I Switch to the
calendar (Lightning add-on) or to the Chat page and does not show up again when
I Switch back to EMail. I have to reopen it manually every time.

it is already fixed in 3.12.1 (currently awaitin review by AMO)
