wrong color after selection of pastel color

ON the layout tab (bling my tabs), if for any given preview tab the "pastel"
palette is selected, and then a color is chosen from the popup menu, it is
displayed with the normal (bright) palette color instead. This is only
corrected when the dialog is re-opened or the "pastel" entry re-selected from
the corresponding palette dropdown - this makes it difficult to choose and
preview pastel colors.

Expected behavior: the selected color from the current palette should display
correctly.
