Maybe this is something from thunderbird itself but for some reason forwarding
a message creates a different message then if you reply to a message. There is
a extra line saying '---original message---' or something which is not there in
reply. Could this be configurable? I would like to configure it in such a way
both messages look the same.

Also, did I tell you already that when you forward a message you get two
signatures in stead of one?

Marking as duplicate of [bug 25089] - "default forward quote can't be
completely hidden".

Also as regards the double signature, please look at [bug 25104] which deals
with signature fixes. we are aware of the problem so please add your
observations (and download patches from) there.
