You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
A regression has caused subfolders (2nd and higher level) not to be expanded on the drag / click context menus of the folder tabs.
By swithcing on debug and the setting extensions.quickfolders.debug.dnd = true I Captured the following logs when dragging over a menu item that needs to expand: Thunderbird 68 QuickFolders {DND} 9:21:27.216 [0 ms] toolbarDragObserver.onDragEnter - [xpconnect wrapped (nsISupports, nsIDragService, nsIDragSession)] targettoolbar QuickFolders-Toolbar QuickFolders {DND} 9:21:27.262 [46 ms] popupDragObserver.onDragEnter menu - menu-on-top QuickFolders {DND} 9:21:27.262 [0 ms] Ignoring DragEnter with child node: hbox QuickFolders {DND} 9:21:27.262 [0 ms] toolbarDragObserver.onDragEnter - [xpconnect wrapped (nsISupports, nsIDragService, nsIDragSession)] targettoolbar QuickFolders-Toolbar In Thunderbird 60, we get QuickFolders {DND} 9:20:3.340 [1309 ms] toolbarDragObserver.onDragEnter - [xpconnect wrapped (nsISupports, nsIDragService, nsIDragSession)] targettoolbar QuickFolders-Toolbar QuickFolders {DND} 9:20:3.340 [0 ms] toolbarDragObserver.onDragEnter - [xpconnect wrapped (nsISupports, nsIDragService, nsIDragSession)] targettoolbar QuickFolders-Toolbar QuickFolders {DND} 9:20:3.362 [22 ms] popupDragObserver.onDragEnter menu - menu-on-top QuickFolders {DND} 9:20:3.365 [3 ms] Displayed popup menu-on-top QuickFolders {DND} 9:20:3.365 [0 ms] toolbarDragObserver.onDragEnter - [xpconnect wrapped (nsISupports, nsIDragService, nsIDragSession)] targettoolbar QuickFolders-Toolbar ----------- this means there is something structurally different in the way the submenu is built
Created an attachment (id=8655) [details] 4.16 prerelease 57 her is a fix that addresses as number of issues related to drag + drop in the new Thunderbird environment.
Created an attachment (id=8656) [details] 4.16 prerelease 64 Fixed the problem of not hiding other popup menus of sibling menu items. If you choose not to drag on any QuickFolders menuitem after all you may still have to hit the ESCAPE button (multiple times if multiple menupopups are shown) to close the last menu tree. I think this is pretty usable now.
Fixed in 4.16 - released 01/09/2019
This bug has not been resolved. If I try to drag a message to a tab containing multiple folders, the folders listed will not expand at the bottom to display the remaining folders.
