I've recently switched to Postbox 3 from Eudora, and QuickFolders has been a
big factor in adjusting to the change.

I find, in addition to a QF Toolbar and many permanent tabs linked to them, one
feature I use a lot is Repair Folder, since I find that Smart Folders often
need to be kicked a little before they re-update to current conditions. Repair
Folder works perfectly for this, without having to switch to another tab and
back.

Just going through old bugs, and even when I read it the first time I didn't
find the Repair Folder command too seldom used to waste a whole keyboard
shortcut on it (as you know the amount of keyboard shortcuts is limited and
there are already so many). What about a button on the current folder toolbar
instead?

Ok I propose to put this button as optional into the current folder toolbar
(which is central to the screen but above the preview in Postbox column mode).

The additional advantage here is that I already have a listbox for the Current
Folder Toolbar to add the option to, so I do not "overload" the Settings dialog
with too many options.

Adding the button in the current folder toolbar (center screen)

Make this new button visible in QuickFolders Settings >> Advanced in the
section Current Folder Toolbar. Making the Current Folder Toolbar always
visible is highly recommended as it has some very useful commands right into
center screen, such as:
        # Dragable current Mail(s) Icon
        # Recent Folder Button
        # Message Navigation (next unread, mark thread as read and jump)
        # Folder Siblings
        # Customize Icon
        # Filter Assistant
        # Mail Folder Commands Submenu
        # Repair Folder
