On writing a new mail the cursor blinks on the end of the first line of the
message body. When I start typing, it jumps to the end of the body.
Without SmartTemplae4 it works normal.

I've seen the same or similar in that the cursor jumps to quoted part of the
message instead of the beginning where one would normally type a reply. This
started after after a TB update a month or two back. 

I forgot to state that the problem I was referring to was with replies and
forwards. I do not use a template for new messages.

might be the fix for your problem, especially when using the new  %cursor%
variable.

I found another problem when using the setting "Reply below the quote" and a
signature is appended; the cursor would jump to the end of the signature
instead of in between quoted mail and signature. I can fix this by injecting
the new cursor div in the correct position.
